It is ok. Satisfactory. Mediocre. Worth more pennies than its price tag suggests. "It does its job" as they say. What is its job? What is this thing?
It is an incredibly abridged core book ship chapter. Primarily the ship building which has been condensed into three tiny pages. This book is to be used in the closing hour of session zero and character creation where you can hand them this and say "build your ship".
Make no mistake; you still need the actual core book. This thing is too abridged to stand on its own. (In fact there is, at least, one error in that one ship hull has no spaces for the field is blank) It has a single page that (sort of) covers combat. So if ship combat is common it might find itself floating around the table reminding people of basic rules and name dropping actions the party can take.
