QUICK REVIEW--First, a disclaimer: I LOVE Jay Piscopo’s work and I’ve been looking forward to this for a while. Still, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Cool character designs, cosmic scenarios, epic imagery by an amazing artist, what more do you need. The first half is basically world-building; the second the beginning of the big fight. Yes, sadly, just the beginning. If I have one complaint about this book, I wish it was 3-4 times longer. But I love that I enjoyed it at 50, and that it’s something I can share with my preteen nieces and nephews. Can’t wait for issue 2.
