Les start with what to expect, this is a picture book with very strong adult themes including nudity and violence. It is not a coherent story just a series of picture of nearly naked women in dangerous situations. So all comments inmy review will be based on these facts and only comments relevent to a picture book will be made.
The images a very clean, clear and expertly scanned, the image quality is good, not great, you will not see pixel on a 1080 monitor, but pxelation shows up on a 4k monitor, the second you zoom in you will start to see pixels. Quality is what you would expect from a comic book, a little low for a picture book.
the quality of the drawing and the composition of the individual pictures is exellent and each picture very well executed. The content is shocking, but not gorie, it is strong but not revolting. The nudity a sexual reference are direct, but not explicit. given this middle ground in a fringe of art, I would say this is a perfect intro to explicit comics with violent content, but it avoids being a limit pushing experience, so fans of the medium will find it a little plain.
The images will meshing well do not try to weave a theme or any transition, which would have been nice, but really not a requirement of a picture book, some explanation on which comic these come from or individual author information would have been a good addition.
As it stand it is a good sampler, but if it was not free, I would consider it not worth the price. a longer version with a few illustrated short stories, or even a large sampler with individual artist information would make a worthy follow-up.
