When he recovered, he had gained the ability to shoot rays from his eye that melted metal, burned flesh, let him see through solid objects, and let him bend others to his will. Now, as Master Key, he fights crime (even if it's putting a cramp on his dating life). Master Key collects for the first time in  single book, the five best stories featuring one of the many forgotten heroes from the Golden age of Comics. In addition to the comics, Master Key contains an all-new expansion to NUELOW Games's superpowers system for OGL d20 Modern-...

The Black Dwarf - Version A

MURDER, MYSTERY, AND HIGH TENSION! After almost losing his fortune to griters and gangsters, retired professional football player "Shorty" Wilson teamed up with four ex-criminals to bring criminals to justice who were evading the law. As the Black Dwarf, he now wages a tireless battle against all manner of crooks. The Black Dwarf presents six hard-hitting tales of the tough-talking, streetwise Black Dwarf and his gangbusting gang. Co-written and drawn by one of the most unique artists from the Golden Age of Comics, Paul Gattuso, these tales are among those that upset Frederick Wertham and his fellow crusaders for comic book righteousness and eventually led to the creation of the Comics Code Authority. In addition to the classic comics, The Black Dwarf features an all-new ROLF!...

"Why DO They Call You The Echo?" When star college athlete and master ventriloquist meets the brother and sister he never knew he had, he is drawn into a world of revenge, crime-fighting, and deadly adventure. The Echo was one of the longer-running series created and owned by Harry 'A' Chesler's comics studio during the Golden Age of Comics. This NUELOW Games anthology collects five of the best adventures featuring the character, each of which brims with Chesler's trademark mixture of pulp-fiction style action and horror. In addition to the classic comics, this book includes feats and talents for the d20 System that lets player characters weaponize ventriloquism the way the Echo does in his fight against crime; game statistics for three inventions by the Echo's mad scientist b...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
